Operator Proxy OC: Alina

I've finally finished it! Here is my proxy OC's profile. Still working on it, but I'm happy with how it's coming out!

Basic Appearance:

Redhead with blue eyes. 5’5’’ feet tall, noticeably gangly and bony, tends to slouch. Weighs 118 pounds.

Personality:

Lacking self-confidence, Alina is introverted and has a low self-esteem. Each step she takes is done carefully and planned, failure being one of her greatest fears. The only times she acts on impulse is when the situation really calls for it, such as when looking for escape routes in a hurry. Despite the looks of it, Alina is more mature and empathetic than most will assume – she’s also very good at reading people.

Imaginative:

Alina is very good at thinking outside of the box, and this strength in creativity is very useful when thinking of plans and escape routes.

Empathetic:

Alina is also empathetic and generally understanding of other people’s feelings, reading people being one of her specialties.

Smart on her field:

Having been working hard on setting traps since the age of 14, Alina has nearly become a complete expert on all that is setting traps and trapping victims. She is also great at strategy and a quick thinker.

Miss eager-to-please:

Alina lets herself be manipulated way too easily in a blind need for approval, which can be a put-off to those who can see past the ‘good girl’ image she tries to create. In truth, most of the voluntary work she does isn’t for the sake of being noble to others, but for her constant needs of reassurance over her self-worth. She’ll regularly take on a lot of work (which is listed in her proxy skills) and end up restless and lacking sleep, but then refuse admitting it being too much for her. This makes her the kind of person people could easily take advantage of.

Too mistrustful around authority figures:

Growing up with an abusive father, Alina was given a bad impression on what a leader behaves like, and she sees all authority figures – especially males – as potential danger to her. To add to this, Alina rarely ever takes roles of leadership.

Overzealous when making plans:

Because of her already worrisome nature combined with her fear of disappointing people, Alina tends to be obsessive over details during plan-making and gets easily concerned when thinking of factors that might bring harm to a plan, no matter how small they are. It can reach to the point she’ll suggest to start all over again, search for a ‘perfect’ plan. She doesn’t take enough risks and strains herself thinking of ways to avoid them, which sometimes makes the ideally quick process of planning longer.

Telekinesis:

The telekinetic gene was passed on to Alina genetically. It appears that Alina’s father was the carrier of the gene – however, the gene tends to be dominant only in females so he had no history of having abilities similar to Alina’s.

Alina’s telekinesis is based on eye and hand movements, the latter being her preferred method to use. She normally moves small objects such as rocks and cups with finger flicking, bigger objects with full arm swings. Back when she engaged in combat, she preferred not to use her power because it takes a lot of concentration to use, leaving her in a trance after using it too long.  This would leave her vulnerable to enemies and in need for a partner to watch her back. After not using it for such a long time, her telekinesis has grown weak and is rarely used.

Proxy skills:

Alina’s specialty is setting traps, and she is also good at quickly calculating escape routes, a skill she earned with training and a lot of missions. During a mission, she’ll take care of setting up cameras and helping injured proxies. Sometimes, she ends up being the one destroying evidence left behind by others, such as wiping out camera recordings and cleaning trails, in case no-one else took care of this already. She used to do some fighting as well, but after a serious injury that lead to her losing her eye she no longer fights if she can help it. She can jump over obstacles and make a run for it, but will be probably overpowered in a fight.

Slender-Sickness:

Those in contact with Slenderman will go sick under his presence, which affects proxies and victims alike. Alina experiences this regularly as well – she often feels disoriented and can get feverish at times.
